Christie House
The 1747 house came down to Gideon Hall with land on the east side of Clove Road going to Benjamin Hall. Clove Cemetery was part of Benjamin Hall's farm, with the Hall burying ground next to the fence.
In 1747 the house was built by Benjamin Hall's father, John Peter Hall.
On the 1850 map it is labeled as "Christy & Tilton" and "HALL PLACE".
At the time of making the Town Tour in 1970, the property was owned by two brothers, Henry and Mercer Walter, who are descendants of Mary Christie Walter.
Benjamin Hall married Elsie Skidmore, William Hall married Mary Vail, Gideon Hall married Rachel Clements.
